Customer Responsibilities
To help us provide a safe and efficient service, customers are responsible for:
- —Providing accurate information when requesting or booking a service.
- —Letting us know about stairs, elevators, narrow hallways, oversized or unusually heavy items, fragile items, or other conditions that may affect the job.
- —Keeping children and pets away from active work areas when appropriate.
- —Securing valuables and personal belongings before service begins.
- —Making sure the work area is reasonably accessible and free of known hazards.
Providing accurate information allows us to properly prepare for your service and determine what equipment, workers, or additional time may be needed.
Worker Safety
Our workers are expected to work professionally and use reasonable safety practices throughout every service.
A worker may pause, modify, or decline a task when:
- —The requested work presents an unreasonable safety risk.
- —An item cannot be safely handled with the available equipment or number of workers.
- —Actual job conditions are substantially different from what was described when the service was requested.
- —The work would require a worker to perform something beyond their reasonable physical ability or training.
Safety decisions are made to protect everyone involved and are not intended to inconvenience our customers.
Property & Belongings
- —Customers should disclose any existing damage or particularly fragile items before work begins.
- —While we take reasonable care with customer property, customers are responsible for identifying fragile, valuable, or otherwise sensitive items before service. Man Handl may document existing damage or the condition of an item before work begins when appropriate.
- —If property is accidentally damaged during a service, customers should report it to Man Handl as soon as possible so the situation can be reviewed.
Unsafe Conditions
If conditions at a job site are materially different from the information provided during booking, Man Handl may:
- —Request additional information or equipment.
- —Adjust the scope of the service.
- —Require additional workers when appropriate.
- —Pause or reschedule the service.
- —Decline to perform work that cannot reasonably be completed safely.
Any applicable changes to the price or scope of work will be communicated to the customer before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.
Respectful Service
- —Man Handl is committed to maintaining a professional environment for both customers and workers.
- —Threats, harassment, discrimination, abusive behavior, or intentionally unsafe conduct are not acceptable. A service may be stopped if a situation becomes unsafe or seriously inappropriate.
Reporting an Incident
- —If an injury, property damage, safety concern, or other serious incident occurs during a Man Handl service, please contact us as soon as possible.
- —When reporting an incident, provide as much information as possible, including what happened, when it occurred, and any relevant photographs or documentation.
Our Commitment
We want every Man Handl service to be straightforward, professional, and safe from start to finish.
By working together and communicating accurate information, customers and workers can help create a safer experience for everyone.
